I am writing this review for the fact that i have an experience in playing somthing similar... back in my 8 bit pixel age i have managed to get my hands on the pack of old games and for the reason of playing an old indiana jones adventure game when the movie was out... thing is that the games name was similar to the game i wanna talk about and that name was just Mr.Jones and it was next to my indiana games... i automaticly assumed its one of the parts of indiana jones but it wasnt... surprisingly addictive Mr.Jones was a boom for me becose i even invited my friends over to see if thay have played this game and we had so much fun becose the game was EXACTLY same thing as yours with one little difference... even tho it didnt have this many jobs and wierd encounters it was a real challange to beat the AI... now thats where i am coming from. in your game there is no competition... i should be able to have AI opponent with a task of become a milionare and to be able to set its difficulty... also i should be able to set up a 2nd player and make a turn based challange... Another crucial part of your game and a massive differnce makes getting home in time.. which has to be done before the time to go to sleep... if not... you are losing 1/4 of a day becose you slept over... in Mr.Jones the AI on easy setting didnt have a clue how to sort the day out to be more profiting then yours and on a highest dificulty it just kept using bank to buy cheap and sell dearer for profit to overrun your "getting a better job" strategy so i would love to see the AI be more advanced than that... I am sorry but for that reason the game didnt impress me... well at least not like the old MR.Jonesthumbs up for a new job content and servises.. and you also need to make home more visually interactive with the player as in the old game you were able to see your appartment and new things added from the supermart...I am not gonna recommend this game to nobody becose the games really should go forwards and not backwards with evolution. I had 15 hours of great fun in this promising game. I do not think the current content is enough to have fun any longer, but it's already nice for the price.Keep the good job developpers, this is a very nice game.. I was immediately interested after all the comparisons to Jones in the Fast Lane and yup... if you are a fan of that classic digital board game, this will most certainly scratch that itch thats been waiting almost 2 decades for a follow-up! Excellent, excellent game.. The game is a bit dumb. I mean I know people who work a 100 hours for week in the summer to get cash. I also know people with 2 part time jobs in college (working 50 hours a week). I know it is a game and all about meters needed to keep met, but it is very unrealistic as you go insane after doing like 2 weeks of 100 hours. Also what is up with the minwage or income in this game. :I like every place suffered from hyper inflation.. Don't be fooled by the graphics and thinking this is a cheap 2D Sims knock off.It's more addicting and far more challenging than The Sims!I found myself as a poor uni student working at a burger shop and then being sent away to the looney bin.There are stock markets, real estate renting/buying, numerous business options and career climbing!I have been sick at home for 3 days and enjoyed it - I played this for hours!!! Of course, once you do 'beat' the game by succeeding, I graduated from uni, made my fortune, bought a house and had kids, I felt I had achieved everything I needed to do - plus, I had to go back to work (in reality).I don't believe this game is intended to be play over and over again forever, but it sure was a good ride while it lasted.Shout out to the creators/developers/publishers - you really made something special here.. Very nice little game. Perfect for just chillin out on a laptop or something since it has pretty much no special system requirements. Something to do when you don't feel like playing the latest action game. If you like management and life sim type stuff, you will like this game. Go from humble beginnings to king of the hill.
